Here's what I've been lovin'

Ok don't hate me I know I've been a terrible blogger!! :( But it probably won't change for a little bit because I have been SO busy with college applications but I'm getting to the finish line soon enough (yay!)

I thought I would show you guys some of the makeup I have been loving lately... and I definitely will be posting some sort of look/tutorial soon as well because I've been lacking in that category for a while. Enjoy!

As you can see, it accentuates the dryness of my lips, but it's stickiness helps it last forever and it's the PERFECT nude gloss to top off lipsticks for nights out especially

This does exactly what the name says... with one coat it's amazing for daytime and surprisingly I can build it up to several coats and without getting clumpy it looks dramatic, full, and beautiful... it's my new favorite mascara for sure

This ELF contouring/blush duo was mentioned in my last haul and I have been getting a lot of use out of it ever since. From the reviews I had read I thought I would be mainly using the bronzer but I actually love the blush too! It doesn't come out with glitter all over my face and it gives me a really really natural flush. For $3 there's no way this goes wrong

I've really been getting into nail polish lately and I  can't get enough of this true red by Sephora called Cherry Popsicle. The color is super opaque, not gloopy, and the brush is rounded and dense to fit my nails perfectly.

Korres Lipstick in Natural Pink. This is my "MLBB" shade for sure. The formula is glossy, lightweight, and incredibly moisturizing. I will be repurchasing this forever.

I have had this foundation for a while now, but I've been wearing face makeup more regularly and I always go for this. It smells AMAZING, feels like nothing on my skin, and gives me a flawless finish. It's just slightly darker than my skintone and makes me look like I have a little tan... love!

Vacation Makeup

Hey everyone! I'm currently on family vacation, and I thought it was worthwhile to show the cosmetics I took with me and my thoughts on them, enjoy!

Lancome cosmetics bag (gift) and random travel brush set (not sure where it's from) I tried my best to pack products that are travel-sized/travel-friendly

Face:
Caudalie Cleansing Water to go: I bought this recently after dying to have it for months now and I thought it would be perfect to bring on my trip... I will post a full review soon!

Neutrogena On the Spot Acne Treatment: I don't have very bad skin, but I brought this to treat the occasional breakout I might get during traveling. It works pretty well and I like that it goes on and dries clear.

Elf Highlighter/Concealer Duo: This is probably my favorite under-eye concealer to date and especially because it is $3. It's a little light on me now in the summer but the medium shade would be too dark so I think it's just fine.

Lancome Absolue Premium Moisturizer SPF 15: I got this in a gift set a while ago and although it is too thick for my oily skin, it's perfect protection for my neck and hands

Kiehls Super Fluid SPF 50: Absolutely love this... high protection, feels like nothing on my face, doesn't leave a white cast

Clarins Eye Contour Cream SPF 30: Very lightweight but moisturizing, and high protection!

Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint: This I got when I used to belong to Birchbox and in the winter, it was waaay dark and orange on me. It's now the perfect glowy tan shade on me and I really love it. Even though it "luminizes" your face and I've been very shiny lately, it doesn't make me look overly shiny and it's very natural looking

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion: a staple

L'oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Liner: my favorite liquid liner!

Estee Lauder More than Mascara: Even though I try to avoid expensive mascaras, this is an unbelievable one for crazy long, voluminous lashes. I wish I brought another more daytime appropriate one, but with one coat it can work.

Tarte Eye Couture Day-to-Night Palette: This is my favorite wearable eyeshadow palette and it has everything I need for traveling

Lips:

Benefit Posietint

Korres Lipstick in Natural Pink (review soon)

Clinique Lipstick in Pink Beach (perfect warm shimmery pink for summer!)

Fresh Honey Sugar Tinted Lip Balm (see last post for review)

Kiehls Lip Balm in French Rose (one of my first posts was on this!)

Covergirl Lip Perfection in Heavenly Paradisque

Mac Lipglass in Underage (review soon)

Estee Lauder Rich and Rosy: for a bright pop of color

Sally Hansen Overnight Lip Recovery: a staple

Cheeks:

Sonia Kashuk Creme Blush in Rosey

Clinique Palette: I only use the bronzer side which I love (True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer in Sunkissed)

Fresh Sugar Honey Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15

Hey everyone! For a while now I've owned and enjoyed Fresh's rose tinted lip balm and I knew that I had to buy their newest shade as soon as I saw the advertisement for it (it's $22.50, a little pricey). It is described as a sheer warm nude shade and I think it's a very true description.

It is a great glossy MLBB shade that warms up my whole look any day I use it. The metal tube is sleek and compact and it's perfect to throw in my bag. With SPF 15, it's especially perfect for summer as well as the fact that it's sooo moisturizing so it's perfect for year round!

The one thing I don't like about this product, which I find with the rose tinted balm as well, is that when the product gets warm (and it does very easily) it melts a lot. And I mean a lot! The pigmentation of the product increases a huge amount, but the texture becomes heavy and waxy and eventually makes my lips peel. When I store it at a cooler temperature though, it returns to it's normal texture and I get to enjoy it again!

Although it's a bit expensive, I loove this product and how it's so easy to just swipe on. I don't regret the purchase!

L to R: Fresh Lip,
L'oreal Infallible in Color of Hope,
Clinique Superbalm in Rootbeer

L'oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Fairest Nude

Hey everyone! For months and months I have heard from so many bloggers and youtubers how wonderful L'oreal's lipstick in Fairest Nude is. Finally I decided to buy it because I have really been on the hunt for MLBB shades. From what I've heard, it's one of the few nudes that doesn't wash people out, as it's a pink-based nude. In the tube I certainly agreed, though it looked a little brown, and swatched on my hand I could see the pink tones. But on my lips, it looks a bit more mauve than pink, which I like but not what I was hoping for exactly.

For about $7-8, I think that this creamy finish, non-drying lipstick is definitely a must have. Although it is a bit of a mature color for my age (17) when worn alone, it's the first nude I've ever bought that doesn't wash me out and I think it will have some awesome combinations with various lip glosses. I am not over the moon about it as many are, but it's a very successful, wearable nude.

I am still in search of the perfect pink-nude, since this came out more mauve on me, but I still am happy with the purchase.

Milani HD Advanced Lip Color in #117 Sweet Grape

Hey everyone! So good news, computer is fixed (finally)!!! Although I am the biggest denier of the approach of fall being the diehard summer fan that I am, I thought I should throw in a shade that I think will be beeeeeeautiful for fall... and it's from the drugstore! I was sent this by the company, but there was no note with the lipstick at all and so I'm certainly not being compensated for reviewing this (for all I know I wasn't even supposed to be sent this haha).

When I first saw this lipstick, I have to admit that my first reaction was "why this shade?!" because deep grapey/plum shades have never flattered my pale skin and they've always looked a little to "gothy" on me. But I decided to try it nonetheless and I am so happy I did. This is my first Milani product, and I now definitely want to try more.

Sweet Grape is a plum lipstick with a great deal of golden shimmer. In fact, it reminds me a lot of my Estee Lauder eyeshadow in Berry Ice. The packaging is sleek and slim, but a little long so it's hard for me to store it with the rest of my traditional lipsticks. For about $10 at the drugstore, it is on the pricier side, but I think that it is worth it. For one, I haven't found a shade exactly like this ever, especially for this price. As well, it doesn't make me look ghostly or goth in the least. The gold shimmer didn't look chunky or accentuate the lines of my lips, in fact it brightened the color wonderfully and the formula is so moisturizing! It comes out rather sheer with one swipe, but it is a very buildable shade which I appreciate.

(this is darker and has much more beautiful gold shimmer than it appears in the photo)

Hey everyone! For my prom last March, I bought this gorgeous lip gloss at Sephora ($26) to match my hot pink BCBG dress. Lancome advertised this gloss as a medium coverage gloss and I agree. It seems a bit sheer at first which is frustrating because the color looks so phenomenal in the tube, but with a few more coats you can build it up pretty well. It is not a sticky, heavy feeling gloss at all which I love, and it has a wonderful floral perfume fragrance. What's most interesting about this gloss though is the applicator. It's a tear drop-shaped foam applicator which I find picks up the product well but isn't necessarily better than a standard applicator. It actually bends very easily on the wand, which makes me feel like it's going to fall off haha, and personally I like firmer brush applicators when I can find them. But overall, the color is so fun and sparkly, while the medium coverage makes it more wearable so I loveee this gloss! This gloss comes in 14 shades.

Jemma Kidd I-Tech Liquid Liner in Covert

Hey everyone! I've had Jemma Kidd's liquid liner in Covert ($16 at Target with a few other amazing colors) for quite sometime now, but seeing as how brighter colors are so much fun for summer I've been using it as a pop of color with my regular black eyeliner and I really love it! I also decided to post it because I find it similar to a recently very popular product, Lancome's Artliner in Beach Gem. I heard very often that people find it hard to find well pigmented glitter liners and this one is AMAZING!

Covert is a ridiculously long lasting, pigmented, vibrant, teal liquid liner that so reminds me of summer and the beach. It looks great with my green eyes, due to its green reflects, but I think it would look equally stunning in contrast with brown eyes or using the teal tones to enhance blue eyes.  One thing to note though, the brush is very thin and precise which is great, but it picks up a lot of product and is also a bit flimsy so for beginners with liquid liner it may be a bit difficult to use. As well, this is so long lasting (which makes it great for swimming and the beach) but it is pretty difficult to remove, especially if it gets on your lashes.

All things aside, look how beautiful it is!

I couldn't resist making a little design :) This pic came out a bit blurry, but the true effect is how it looks in the tube!

Revlon Blase Apricot Lipstick

I picked this up at the drugstore a few weeks ago in an attempt to find an inexpensive (it's $8.99) option to follow the coral/orange trend for this summer. I love the new vintage-inspired packaging and I think the Moon Drops name for the collection is pretty interesting lol.  It is a coral/orange/pink shade that really brightens up my face. The formula leaves a very pigmented, creamy finish and does tend to show the lines in my lips but just slightly. I apply this lightly because it has an unusual nude undertone that washes me out a bit if I put on too much, but otherwise I think it's such a fun, unique, and bright color that everyone should try!

Splendid Shadows

Left to Right:
-MAC Talent Pool ($14.50)
-Pixi No.3 Nude Nouveaux ($14.00)
-NARS Bali ($23.00)

These are some of the most beautiful and pigmented shadows I have ever come across!

Talent Pool is a gorgeous shimmering aqua with a hint of green reflects. I almost never wear colors in the blue family, but it is perfect for summer and would look stunning on brown eyes. Because it is so bright and I tend to stay with neutral shades, I run this along my lower lashline for a pop of color.

Bali is clearly the most pigmented of the three, and the most expensive. Although the price makes me cringe, I was lucky enough to receive it as a holiday present. Yet having used it I personally think it is worth the price tag. The packaging is adorable, the case is hard to describe, it is hard with this rubbery feel, and comes with a convenient mirror inside. It's a pure matte rich dark brown that is essential in every collection and its quality is outstanding.

Nude Nouveaux I bought on a whim. I had swatched the shadow in Target and thought it was so wonderfully velvety that I had to have it. I am obsessed with shimmery champagne shadows so I thought this would just add to the many I already have but I was dead wrong. This is my "holy grail" eyeshadow! I try to branch out to my other shadows but I always end up using this one practically every day. This shadow is magical; I can use it all over my lid during the daytime as it runs gold/champagne with a hint of pink, or at night where it somehow turns a slight silver tone perfect with jet black liner. AHHHH i love this!

March Favorites!

Hey everyone!
I LOST MY CAMERAAAA!!! :(
I've been doing my best to find it and hopefully I will soon. But for the time being, I still wanted to show you my favorites so I just took some pictures from online. Enjoy!
Doe Eyed Felt Eyeliner
Sephora Collection Doe Eyed Felt Tip Liner
For years I have used my L'oreal Lineur Intense to master my winged liner (which I do everryyy day) but I decided I wanted to see if I could find something better. Although I'm not totally satisfied with this and am still looking for something even better (the tip is already a little frayed and I have to shake it sometimes to make the product come out) I think it is soooo easy to use, inexpensive, and I'm enjoying it for the time being!
Pixi Solo Light Eyeshadow in Nude Nouveaux (unknown shade pictured)
The shade I have is a frosty/shimmery taupey champagne color with a bit of pink? haha That's the best way I can describe it. I absolutely love shimmery shadows because they just make my eyes sparkle and for the past month I have been reaching for this pretty much every day because it's such a versatile, every day shade.

Covergirl Naturelux Gloss Balm in 203 Coral
I was so excited when this product came out because I am obsessed with lip balms and the range of colors for these is amazing!! I would say this is a good combination between a gloss and a balm because it is pretty moisturizing (nothing heavy duty) and it gives a sheen to the lips. But because it is not a true liquid gloss it does show the lines in my lips a bit and doesn't make them look fuller or anything. When I first bought this shade I didn't find it very pigmented but now that I've used more of it and warmed up the product it is so pigmented! Once I put on a bit too much and my lips were legit orange... not good! But I really like this especially due to the popularity of orange lips this season and I would love to try more shades

Bad Gal Lash Mascara
THIS MASCARA IS AMAZING!! I know that it's been popular for so long and I'm one of the last to try it, but it took me forever to finally splurge for a non-drugstore mascara. I bought the sample size and because I have so many other mascaras that I use on and off it has lasted me a good amount of time. It makes my eyelashes sooo voluminous but not clumpy which I lust for. Sadly for my wallet, I don't think I can live without this I will definitely be repurchasing!
